Deep excavation – Carr Civil Engineering https://carrcivilengineering.co.uk Wed, 20 Mar 2019 09:55:44 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.2.2 Rufus Stone Excavation https://carrcivilengineering.co.uk/projects/rufus-stone-excavation/ Mon, 11 Mar 2019 09:06:56 +0000 https://carrcivilengineering.co.uk/?post_type=bunch_projects&p=904 Site:
Rufus Stone

Nature of project:
The Project was at Rufus Stone in the New Forest on SSSI land. We had to collaborate works alongside the Forestry Commission, Ecosa, Assetsphere, & Verderers of the New Forest National Park.

The work was to be carried out on high pressure 18inch pipe line PO23. Sheeted and Framed excavation of approximate size of 3 x 4 Metres X 2.5 Metres was required to expose corrosion issues on pipeline gathered from SGN tally data.

Working Methods:
In order to allow works to commence at the site approval had to be sought from Natural England and the work undertaken in strict accordance with Natural England’s working methods for the New Forest and the methods contained within the Ecological Construction Method Statement.

Project Feedback:

“I have been to the site today and I am happy to report that the area has been left in good order.

It certainly isn’t the best area to of worked on due to the location and soli structure, but I must say well done to the guys who have carried out the work and they have done a great job of reinstating the excavations and tidying the site.”
